The ability of the vendor to support the package can be very important. Consider the not too distant past with the Y2K problem. For example, a company that bought a package in 1998 that was not Y2K compliant found out that the vendor went out of business. On January 1, 2000, the software was no longer of any use to the company.
How easy will it be to support the package and continue to receive the benefits from the package? The Supportability Worksheet lists the items which impact the ability to successfully support the package. Add any additional component that impacts the supportability of the package. Then rate each between 1 and 10.
